Revelation 21:8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.
At this point of reflection at both the end and beginning of a decade, we should remember that those men and women who are too cowardly to stand up against the great whore’s continual inversion of God’s established patriarchy, need to repent and turn from their cowardice before they are damned to hell for it.
Mark 8:34 And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? 37 For what can a man give in return for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.“
Speaking of cowardice: Over at Dominic “Bnonn” Tennant’s site on his post about “Are women made in the image of God?”, where Bnonn references and quotes me in order to speak against Biblical theology I have shared, Bnonn continues to interact with other readers while deleting comments that I add. I posted a comment again that appeared last night there, yet, once again, it is gone today. I used to link to that “discussion”, but it is no longer a discussion. Apparently the losing one has decided to take his ball and go home with it, while wanting it to still appear as though he has openly debated, the theology of a masculine God, with myself and others to a standstill.
If in debate you can not compete,
Then the wise comments you must delete.
I have read several of your posts about men imaging God etc., and the discussion with Bnonn. I wonder if you would mind giving your opinion on the source of the feminine?
YourSlipIsShowing,
I haven’t given too much thought to where did the feminine come from, but I’ll give you my first speculation off of the top of my head. She is not the image of God, man, or any other animal, but a unique creation.
1 Corinthians 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. 8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. 9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
Like everything created, women came from the mind of God.
Genesis 2:18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
The woman was created from the man, for the man, to help the man, so that he wouldn’t be alone, and to be the glory of the man. What help would I need a woman for, that wouldn’t be better met by a male friend of mine? Adam already had a couple dogs before Eve was created. I think the Bible translations have often been bowdlerized, and Christian traditions have been desexualized, to the point where Christians act like a man’s sexual desire is some sort of unnatural perversion. We live in such a totally sheltered church environment, and feminist society that leaves men wrongly embarrassed of our own sex when some German man shows up in church and loudly and cheerfully says in broken English and using hand motions, that he likes the pastor’s wife’s big titties, in the same way others might compliment that her hair looks nice today. I really think that the answer is obvious but that we are all just too bashful and subdued by feminism to say it.
The feminine was created to give the masculine a boner! We glory in our wives beauty. Now obviously women have other purposes also, like making babies and feeding them and nurturing them. But, God obviously made women to make men like myself horny, and to admire and glory in God’s handiwork. I could go on and on about this, but I hope you get my point that the feminine was designed to please and satisfy the masculine. Thus the ease with which men can be turned to idolizing women, and letting women utilize their ability to satisfy men, to keep men from serving God, and obeying women instead. But that is usurpation because the feminine was a gift from God to satisfy men(Proverbs 5:19, Ecclesiastes 9:9) who were alone, not to replace God. The feminine was created to arouse and satisfy the masculine!
Gunner Q has a post:
https://gunnerq.com/2020/01/01/fat-chunky-admits-the-truth/
Where a huge woman announces “For me, fat is a way of saying f*ck you.” Ain’t that the truth! She rebels against both God and men by knowingly making herself LARGELY useless to serve their purpose.
OT
The youngest grandson wanted a new Bible. He does not read yet so I wanted to get him one with pictures. I selected the “Study Bible for Boys” which uses the Christian Standard Bible for its translation. It is from Baker Books.
I was recently reading it and I was alarmed by this note attached to Genesis 2. The note is titled, “Men and Women Genesis 2:20-23” The end of the note reads, “… Adam knew that different does not mean inferior. Adam was happy to have a partner who was his equal and like him in many important ways.”
Lesson learned; best to buy Bibles without anyone else’s notes or commentary included.
Unfortunately many of the major Protestant publishing houses in the West are already pro-feminist.
I apologize for the midstream name change – it was a WordPress newbie mistake.
Thank you for your detailed reply. To help me understand your position more fully, do you consider the feminine to be an essence of womanhood? In other words, in your framing of the purpose of the feminine, is the feminine only a bodily form, or is there a feminine spirit to accompany that form? Which question of course also applies to the masculine.
Bee,
I am reminded of the warning at the end of the Bible:
Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
I don’t generally like Bible “notes” or additions that editorialize, placed into the Bible. I also don’t write in my Bibles, except sometimes to put my name in the front of a Bible that was presented to me as a gift. If I buy a Bible for myself, I don’t put my name in it, lest I find somebody who doesn’t own a Bible and then give it to them. I recently bought this Bible:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/155819634X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
KJV Super Giant Print Reference Bible, Black Simulated Leather
I wanted a Bible I could also read without my reading glasses.
I do sometimes use Bible commentaries, but ten different ones will give you ten different opinions. I prefer to use ones that are over 100 years old, and are not so fully saturated with today’s current political-correctness. Plus many of the older Bible commentaries are copyright-free and in the public domain.
I don’t read “Christian books” anymore. It has probably been nearly a decade since I struggled through some worthless blue-pilled “Christian marriage” books. The books were so effeminized that reading them left me feeling like I’d just had a first homosexual experience. LOL I really could have used some red-pill resources back then. Unfortunately I didn’t discover any red-pill resources until two years ago after my wife had already moved out and was already in the process of filing for divorce.
Eavan,
I consider a woman an unique individual physical specimen of womankind.
Feminine – definition: of, relating to, or suited to women or girls.
So, semantically, I believe the feminine aspect would also include any traits of soul or spirit that vary according to sex.
If I were a philosopher I might want to define terms like personality, heart, mind, soul, spirit, essence, personhood, being, and Etc. Thankfully I’m not.
In my opinion each individual has a unique spirit with its own “personality”. And I believe our spirits currently also have characteristics and roles that are given in accordance with our God ordained sex. Many things may change when we get to heaven and are perfected and given new bodies and conformed to the image of Christ, and Etc.
Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
We are unique individuals before we are ever conceived, and some are foreordained to be vessels of God’s mercy and other to be vessels of God’s wrath.
I should sometime try to think through all that the Bible says concerning the sex differences that might relate to our intangible beings, and write a post presenting the relevant Bible passages that I am aware of after some more study.
If I am understanding your position correctly, based on your reading of the creation story, “man” does not refer to humankind but to males. Does that mean when reading Scripture such as the following:
Mark 7:20-23 King James Version (KJV)
20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
We are not to read this as applying to women?
Esvsn ….excellent question!
I suspect you’ll be told that in those cases, “man” actually means “men and women.”
You see, “man” only means the masculine when it’s convenient for the author. He and all these other red pulled Bible “experts” twist scripture to suit their gripe of the day.
When “man” is negative, it applies to both men and women (especially women) but when “man” is made in the image of God…well, that’s only men.
They write blog after blog after blog about it; really work overtime to make their point, which should tell you something.
Oh man! It’s time for me to man my blog, man up, and be a man for all of man and womankind lest God wipe man out.
Eavan, you ask a good question. And I think the answer if I were to expound it fully, would prove that my interpretation of the word often translated as “man” in English is more true to the Bible text than the misinterpreting and spinning that is done by so many today to try to make a patriarchal text support their latter-day adoption of Feminism. In the first sentence of this comment, the word “man” is used in multiple ways, and you have to figure out which meaning is meant by the context. Genesis 1:26-27 uses the Hebrew word “Adam” A masculine pronoun, usually singular, and meaning – “the man”. It actually was what God called Adam, and became his name. Because it is usually a singular masculine pronoun, it is entirely correct to sometimes translate it as “him” as is done in Genesis 1:27, however it is like our English word “man” in that it can also sometimes mean all men, or sometimes even all people, since they all descended from “the man” God created. But most often in the Bible it refers to an individual man. In Genesis 1:27 a different (third person plural) Hebrew word is used and translated as “them”, making clear that “male and Female” was not still talking about the Hebrew word “Adam” translated as “man” and “him”.
A close reading of Genesis and the entire Bible shows that God took great care to never say that any woman is in his image.
Within Genesis 1:26-27 Adam or the “man” also translated as “him”, four times is called the image or likeness of God, but then “them” is only stated as being created by God. So we are being asked to assume that vast committees of the best Hebrew experts for centuries have intentionally twisted God’s word to leave Eve unassociated with the image of God. We should remember that Hebrew didn’t have punctuation. Genesis 1:27 is considered to have been a three sentence Hebrew poem. Where twice it is made crystal clear, first forwards and then stated backwards, that Adam was created in the image of God,(reversed parallelism) and that then is contrasted to “them” whom we are told were only created by God,(a refining restatement) conspicuously leaving off any mention of God’s image.
Perhaps the Bible truth, regarding the image of God, is clearer when translated from Greek:
1 Corinthians 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
You bring up a New Testament passage that was written in Greek, not Hebrew, so it doesn’t use the same word, even though the same word “man” is used in English.
It is also important to realize that much of the Bible was written specifically to men, so often when the Bible says “you” it means “you men” and other times it may mean “you all”. Back during Biblical times not everybody was literate. Women rarely were. And there were people called scribes who were so literate that they worked professionally writing things down, copying documents, and sometimes reading and interpreting things for those who could not read well. So, there is that aspect to consider also, that you are reading a book primarily written to men, to read and apply for their families.
Genesis 1:27
So God created man in His own image.
In the image of God He created him.
Male and female He created them.
I could also loosely translate that as:
So God then created Adam in God’s image. And in the image of God was Adam then created. also they, both male and female, were created by God.
It is important to remember that Eve was created after Adam was created in the image of God, in a later separate creation event. So Adam’s creation is four times in a row, said to have been done in the image of God, and then, in great contrast, the summation of the separate creations of Adam and Eve is not said to have been in God’s image. God would never have worked so hard to tell us that Adam was in His image, and so intentionally leave Eve out of the image of God, if He had meant us to understand that both Adam and Eve were created equal in His image.
And ‘CR’ just doesn’t like me pulling the rug out from under her Feminism. So of course she isn’t going to want to hear the truth, she just wants her Feminism. And CR has been dishonest regarding her own sex here in the past, while posting under various different names. Apparently her different alter ego personalities also “identify” as different sexes. LOL One day she is a female lawyer with a lengthy happy marriage, yet under a different name she tells ray he is wrong when he accuses her of being a woman.
I have no idea who CR is, but obviously I hit a nerve to cause this incoherent rant. I suspected that your heterodox personal interpretions of Scripture were indefensible using Scripture only (given your propensity to rip quotes from the Church fathers out of context) and you’ve just very generously confirmed it. Thank you. You appear to interpret Scripture this way because you were trying to find a way to solve men’s marital problems. Then you found out that some Church fathers agreed with you, so you ripped that meaning out of Scripture. It’s certainly ironic that you don’t submit to the myriad Church fathers that disagree and you don’t consider any of them authoritative. You also might want to rethink your contradictory positions that women were created to “give men boners” and are also natural defilers. Why do men want, to the exclusion of all reason, to be defiled?
Notice how Eavan was not able to focus and stay on topic. As soon as Sharkly answered his question about “man”, without referencing any church fathers, Eavan exploded with his pet rant about the church fathers.
Oh Eavan,
You have so misjudged my response. It is coherent if you are able to understand it, and it isn’t a rant, nor did you or CR hit any nerve of mine. My home situation has been trying and exasperating, yet I actually enjoy the chance to witness and testify to other men, and I especially love the opportunity of correcting challenging women like yourself and CR. God has made me, and brought me through many formative experiences to become excellent at ruling over womankind, even though it is a nearly impossible task to be captain over such a rebellious and mutinous crew as most women are! I am learning to do it exceptionally blamelessly.(in God’s eyes) When women rebel against good and God appointed leadership, the blame solely lies with women. And God is still daily teaching me the discernment to hear right through the unceasing complaints of the silly women of this generation who are too stubborn to follow in God’s paths.
I have shown from scripture where my beliefs come from, and there are few in the man-o-sphere who cite scripture as often and repeatedly as I do. If you want to tell me specifically which parts you don’t understand, I’ll be quite happy to continue explaining it to you.
I don’t “rip quotes from the Church fathers out of context”. The quote from Tertullian that I most recently gave here: https://laf443259520.androsphere.net/2020/01/07/women-the-moral-weak-link/ begins from His “On the Apparel of Women” Book 1, Chapter 1, starting with the end of verse 1, it is from the opening statement that lays out the very context for his whole work regarding how and why women should adorn themselves with shamefacedness. I suspect that you just want to rebel against even the hearing of the Biblical context of womanhood that Tertullian, the early church father, laid out and explained, to lay the groundwork for your further rebellion with regard to never following God’s command for you as a women to adorn yourselves with shamefacedness. I’m not picking up any shamefacedness on your part. LOL You’re just pouting about the justified sentence of God upon your sex, and are not as well able to bear your own responsibility and guilt, like a man. The honest reason why women constantly guilt-trip men, is because most men naturally respond to guilt with contrition, because men are not generally by nature such fecklessly shameless creatures as women. God gave Solomon the wisdom to teach exactly that:
Proverbs 30:20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
If you note, in the above bowdlerized passage, originally written in Hebrew, God is quite able to let us know it applies to women. Unlike the image of God which never in the entire Bible is ever said to apply to any woman. But we are told in numerous places that the image of God applies to men. LOL That is why misguided women always yearn to become like men, to usurp all the rights and privileges naturally accorded the image of God, while fecklessly uninterested in ever taking up any of the responsibility incumbent on the real bearers of the image of God. Basically the way of our world is that the buck seldom ever stops with a woman, and never with a Feminist woman. e.g. Ask annoying Hillary whose fault it is that she lost to Donald Trump. LOL
And if you can’t figure out that sex attraction(giving men boners) naturally assists sinful women in defiling men, then perhaps I’m going to have to explain everything at the simplest of levels for you. That isn’t contradictory. God wants women to be righteous, not sinful, and a woman who truly recognizes her state will rightfully be shamefaced. “[For women] the very consciousness of their own nature must evoke feelings of shame.” —Saint Clement of Alexandria, Christian theologian (c150-215) Pedagogues II, 33, 2. Read Tertullian’s whole “On the Apparel of Women” if you want to hear that explained by an early church father, if you have the time and are lacking the faith to simply believe the inspired words of the Apostle Paul.(1 Timothy2:9)
As a man, being in the very image of God, I am not to be shamefaced even when I have behaved righteously, like a righteous woman should always be adorning herself with such due shame. I am just to walk humbly before God,(Micah 6:8) Because he is the LORD God, and I am merely His image. If I have done wrong I can certainly show shame for my sins, but, unlike a woman, my manly essence is not to be a source of shame. It is a satanic role reversal that our society tries to shame men for being masculine, and tries now to label traditional masculinity as “toxic” or call it a dysfunction as the Feminist APA has proposed. And women should not at all be shamed for being feminine, or naturally boner inducing, but for their moral weakness of character and willful immodesty, and their propensity to use their privilege of joining into fleshly unity with the image of God, to tempt men to unite with them in their lustful and lawless passions, wickedness, and rebellion against God. When each woman should instead be asking her man, to shepherd her into paths of righteousness, to rule out her waywardness like a good shepherd guiding sheep with a rod and staff,(Psalm 23:4) and to wash her with the convicting word of God.(Ephesians 5:26-27)
Well, Tertullian was not a Church father, but a heretic.
And I’m just so confused about what to do: I asked my husband at home and he strongly disagrees with your interpretation of Scripture. I will pass over what he thinks of your pride and facility with Scripture. I guess I must suppose he is a blue pill beta feminist and accept your interpretation of Scripture instead of his.
Haha, Bee! It must have done all sorts of damage to your beliefs about men’s superiority when you thought a man was unable to stay on topic. I’m happy I can reassure you now that you know I’m a lowly, stupid woman. That will reinforce your prior assumptions about women and help your day to go better.
Rule over women? You couldn’t keep the missus in line you dipshit. Get help.
